This hood is built to UL
specification
. It bears NSF label which is verifiable on NSF websites. It has met the standards set by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), which tests public safety, health, and environment.

High Speed Direct Drive Centrifugal Upblast Exhaust Fan with speed control (single phase only) and 14-3/8" wheel.
Exhaust Fan handles 2100 CFM @ -0.750" wc ESP, Fan runs at 1075 to 1625RPM
Exhaust Motor: 0.5 HP, 1 Phase 115V, 60Hz, 6-13.0 FLA, ODP (Open Drip Proof).  Motor may be rewired for 220 V in some instance.
Variable speed control!! Means you only turn it at full speed when you have grease. You keep it at low speed when you cook light.
