    Simple Oscilloscope Measurements
    for Education and Training
    (Mullard Educational Service)
    33
pages in easy to read Adobe PDF format on CDROM
    This booklet
contains suggestions for a number of experiments which can be carried out in the laboratory with the aid of a cathode ray oscilloscope and auxiliary equipment.
The instruments used in these various tests were the Mullard Students' Constructional Oscilloscope and the Simple Audio Oscillator, but it is likely that many other models could be used with little modification to the experiments. There are a great number of tests which can be made with the oscilloscope and these are described in many text books on the subject. The experiments vary in technical level and it has been left to the discretion of individual lecturers to select those which most suit the particular requirements of the class.
The booklet commences with a brief description of the principles of the oscilloscope. the signal generator and auxiliary equipment. Subsequent sections describe the various forms of pick-up and give details of impedance matching. The experiments described
    in
the remaining seven sections of the booklet illustrate the versatility of the cathode ray oscilloscope.
    Section 1: General description
    Section 2: Pick-ups
    Section 3: Impedance matching
Section 4: Measurement of simple dc quantities
Section 5: Measurement of simple ac quantities
Section 6: Co-ordinate presentation with time as one axis
    Section 7: Other co-ordinate presentations
Section 8: Demonstrations of the nature of sound
Section 9: Measurement of simple acoustic quantities
Section 10: Measurement of mechanical quantities
